I.

The Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012, officially registered as Republic Act No . 10175, can be described as law inside the Philippines authorized on doze September 2012. It should address legal issues concerning on-line interactions as well as the Internet in the Philippines. Among the cybercrime offenses included in the invoice are cybersquatting, cybersex, child pornography, identity theft, against the law access to info and libel. The Cybercrime Prevention Action of 2012 is the first law inside the Philippines which in turn specifically criminalizes computer criminal offenses, which prior to the passage from the law experienced no good legal precedent in Philippine jurisprudence. When laws like the Electronic Business Act of 2000 (Republic Act Number 8792) regulated certain computer-related activities, these kinds of laws would not provide a legal basis intended for criminalizing crimes committed on a computer generally speaking: for example , Onel de Guzman, the computer developer charged with purportedly writing the ILOVEYOU computer earthworm, was in the end not charged by Filipino authorities because of a lack of legal basis to get him being charged under existing Filipino laws in the time his police arrest.
